Nomination from Awami League expelled from BNP

Online Blog: The field of politics has now become synonymous with the election of Mohanganj Tentulia Union Parishad (UP) chairman of Netrokona. Chairman's post was vacant in the death of elected chairman of Awami League Rafiqul Islam Murad. Former AL leader and former chairman Abul Kalam Azad is the Awami League candidate in the bye-election. He joined Awami League earlier and resigned from the BNP. Mohanganj Upazila Awami League general secretary Shahid Iqbal said that Abul Kalam Azad joined the Awami League long ago and got Awami League's nomination in the by-election for Tentulia UP chairman. On the other hand, Abul Kalam Azad, who was the vice-president of Mohganj upazila BNP, was expelled from the party. The decision was taken at the meeting held at the party's office at Mohanganj upazila BNP station office on Tuesday night. Upazila BNP President AKM Shafiqul Haque said after the meeting that Abul Kalam Azad was expelled for the party's disciplinary action.
It is to be noted that the by-election vote will be held on March 29 in the union chairperson's post.
