IOM has said that trained manpower is ready, standing next to Rohingyas in the coming months. Creating bases for emergency care centers and aid workers. The Rohingya shelters are being strengthened further.
The IOM said that Rohingyas are living in shadowy shelters in different refugee camps of Ukhia and Teknaf. Their hut is made on a tripartite and wooden pillar, which is not strong enough to deal with the disaster. In this case, IOM plans to strengthen their habitats. Apart from this, a cooperative committee will be formed to reduce the risk, who will be trained to do Rohingya while doing disaster.
The Refugee Agency said, at least one hundred thousand Rohingya and local residents were at risk of life from landslides and floods. Besides, there are thousands of Rohingya who will not be able to get help, if the wilds areolate them from the help workers.
A one-day trial will be held on behalf of the IOM on March 1. Apart from this, various volunteer groups, ICSG, UNHCR and government-private organizations will work separately.
In this regard, IOM's emergency coordinator Manuel Marquez Pereira said in Cox's Bazar, "The emergency situation can not be avoided when rain starts. So from now on we have to work together to reduce disaster damage before it starts. "
Manuel Marquez Pereira said that IOM's plans include issues such as road improvement, land control prevention, and infrastructural development of 120,000 homes. However, due to the low amount of land compared to more refugees, the work will be difficult, he said.
IOM says, now 650 people are trained to cope with the future of the crisis. This helps Bangladesh Fire Service and Civil Defense Department. Five specialized clinics are also being developed.
Over 7 lakh Rohingyas flee the country from Rakhine province after fleeing Myanmar army since August 25 under the current violence. The government of Bangladesh has signed an agreement with Myanmar to bring them back. However, the Rohingya rehabilitation process has not yet seen the real face.
