Khaleda's bail order on Monday

Online Blog: State and Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) hearing concludes: The Zia Orphanage Trust in corruption case against the bail granted to the BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia in the High Court. At the same time, the hearing on the appeal filed by the Appellate Division against the bail granted to the Appellate Division has ended.
On Sunday, a four-judge bench led by Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain on Sunday ordered the date for the order on Monday.
State Attorney General Mahbubey Alam, Khurshid Alam Khan and AK Mohammad Ali and Khandker Mahbub Hossain were present on behalf of the ACC.
Earlier on Wednesday, on March 14, the High Court granted bail to the Appellate Division Khaleda Zia. During this period, the state and the ACC were asked to file a CP. Accordingly, on Thursday, the ACC and the state filed a petition. Until the two appeals were settled, the appeal was made to continue the stay on bail for Khaleda Zia.
Apart from this, after the order on Wednesday, Khaleda Zia's lawyers appealed to the petition seeking withdrawal of the suspension granted by the Appellate Division. The Judge of the Chamber fixed the date for hearing on Sunday with the petition of the state and the ACC. Accordingly, all the applications came in the Appellate Division's work schedule today.
Earlier on March 12, the High Court granted bail to Khaleda Zia in the High Court. On March 13, the ACC and the state government appealed to the Appellate Division to suspend the bail. Later on Wednesday, the Appellate Division ordered the order to suspend bail after hearing ACC's statement. Khaleda Zia's lawyers did not respond to the bail saying her lawyers responded to the court.
On 8 February, the Special Judge Court of Dhaka announced the verdict of the 5 Zia Orphanage Trust case. The verdict gave Khaleda Zia five years and her eldest son Tarique Rahman, and five other accused in jail for 10 years. Apart from this, the equivalent amount of the embezzlement charges will be punished by all.
The copy of this verdict of the judicial court was released on February 19. The next day Khaleda's lawyers filed an appeal in the High Court. On February 22, the High Court acquitted the appeal for hearing and postponed the order of the High Court. The hearing in the High Court ended on February 25 on the bail application of Khaleda Zia.
