Prime Minister's respect towards Bangabandhu

News Blog: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has paid tribute to the portrait of Bangabandhu in Dhanmondi 32 on the occasion of 99th birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paid homage at the portrait of Bangabandhu at 7am on Saturday morning, at Dhanmondi 32nd in the capital. After reverence, he stood silent for a while.
Members of the Cabinet were present, Advisers of the Prime Minister, Members of Parliament and Senior Awami League leaders and workers.
After the senior leaders of the party also paid respect to the portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on behalf of the Awami League.
Earlier, the ruling Awami League hoisted the national and party flag at the Bangabandhu Bhaban and the countrywide party office at 6:30 am on the occasion of Bangabandhu's birth anniversary.
It is learned that Korankhani, Milad and Doa Mahfil were held in the central mosque at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque on 10th of the day, seeking the forgiveness of all the members of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu and his family.
After this, a discussion meeting was held at 11 am at the auditorium of Baitul Mukarram of Islamic Foundation.
Apart from this, a discussion meeting will be held on Sunday at 3pm at Awami League organized at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center. Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will preside over this.
Awami League general secretary and road transport and labor minister Obaidul Quader urged the countrymen including party leaders and activists to observe the programs declared by Awami League on the birth anniversary of Bangabandhu and National Children's Day.
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was born on 17 March 1920 in Tungipara, Gopalganj sub-division of Faridpur district.
