BNP leaders met Khaleda in the afternoon

News Blog: BNP senior leaders got permission to meet in jail with BNP chairperson and former prime minister Begum Khaleda Zia.
Today, at around 3pm on Wednesday, senior party leaders led by BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir met the former prime minister at Prison in Nazimuddin Road.
BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said on Tuesday night, he was going to jail to meet Khaleda Zia.
Chairperson's media wing member Shamsuddin Didar said that some leaders will meet with Khaleda Zia in jail, the BNP secretary general and BNP Standing Committee member. Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Barrister Moudud Ahmed, Barrister Jamir Uddin Sarker, Lieutenant General Mahbubur Rahman (Retd.), Mirza Abbas, Dr. Abdul Moin Khan, Nazrul Islam Khan, Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury and BNP Chairperson's Private Secretary ABM Abdus Sattar.
That is the first meeting with Khaleda Zia on February 8 with the party leaders after the verdict of Zia Orphanage Trust corruption case. Prior to this, his lawyers met Khaleda Zia.
It is assumed that in the present circumstances, Khaleda Zia can give important guidelines for managing the party and the case.
Ruhul Kabir Rizvi BNP Senior Joint Secretary General said, the petition was filed with the concerned authorities for meeting with the leader of democracy Khaleda Zia.
