Bookmakers will come in the book fair Today, the crowd will be more than a normal holiday on the occasion of the International Mother Language Day, in the book fair than the other days. Not only the crowd, it will be very good to sell. So, the bookmaker touches the Bangla Academy and the Sohawardi Udyan in Dhaka University Campus, Central Shaheed Minar, Shahbagh and Doyel Square and Nilkhet area. Today, at 7:30 pm, Bangla Academy will be started on the main stage. The poets from across the country take part in this event.

Yesterday was the 20th day of the Amar Ekushey Boothamela. On this day there were 124 new books in the fair. This year the new book has come in the total of 2964.

Syed Waliullah Award: 'Syed Waliullah Award for the year 2017' was conducted by the Academy of Bangla Academy. Canada-expatriate poet Masud Khan and UK-based poet Mujibur Rahman received the award. The award will be officially presented on 22 February at the International Literary Conference of Bangla Academy.
